Dr. Blair Goodall is passionate about airway health and breathing in infants, children and adolescents. She strives to educate families and bring about awareness of the effects of poor sleep and breathing habits over the course of a child’s lifetime. Dr. Goodall is also very passionate about prevention and education for whole body health and identifying and treating the root cause of their problems.
Dr. Goodall grew up in a small town in West Virginia. She developed a stong interest in oral health early on in her life while watching her uncle who was also her dentist. Working with children came naturally to her while helping her mom who was a school teacher with her classroom.
Dr. Goodall began her education at West Virginia University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology followed by her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degrees. She continued on to complete a 2 year post graduate pediatric dental residency program at Texas A&M University/Baylor College of Dentistry, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. During residency, Dr. Goodall received extensive training in treating medically compromised patients as well as those with special health care needs in both hospital and clinical settings. Dr. Goodall is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Following residency, Dr. Goodall has taken numerous hours of continuing education on sleep disordered breathing and airway health in children. She completed a Mini Residency in Pediatric Growth and Development through Airway Health Solutions. She completed Tongue Tied Academy with Dr. Richard Baxter and is also recognized as a Breathe Institute Ambassador. Dr. Goodall is an active member in the American Academy of Physiologic Medicine & Dentistry and she greatly values staying up to date with the most current literature and treatment protocols.
Connecting with the community, both personally and professionally, gives Dr. Goodall a deep sense of fulfillment. Education is a huge part of her practice mission, and she takes every opportunity she can to provide talks on oral and airway health to schools, preschools, daycares, and after school programs. She enjoys participating in Give Kids a Smile Day annually which provides free oral health screenings to those in need in the community.
Dr. Goodall lives in Plano with her husband, Clayton, and their beloved goldendoodle named Hardy. She enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga, and baking in her free time.
